Penn State College of Arts and Architecture Student Marshal
I graduated! I now have my Bachelor of Design in Professional Photography. In addition, I was selected as Student Marshal for the College of Arts and Architecture.

Gallery @ 104

Gallery @104 is an annual competition for Arts and Architecture undergraduates at University Park’s Penn State campus. It allows students to display their art in the Office of the Dean for Undergraduate Affairs, which prospective students visit with their parents.
Candy Cane

I had three photographs in this show, including this one from Mill Hall. After seeing my photographs on a wall, I decided I didn’t like the other two. That happens sometimes; they are now retired.
This was a Halloween-themed show. I’m not into scary stuff, per se, but Pennsylvanians like their skeletons—the fake ones decorate porches, yards, and cars. In addition to the human variety, I’ve seen dogs, dinosaurs, and even chickens. It’s a year-round thing, not just for Halloween.
Monochromatic Photography

Eric Roman, an associate teaching professor of art at Penn State, selected 15 photographs for this multiple-artist show. Two of my pictures, including this one of coal maps in Philipsburg, were selected.
Portrait of Cambridge

A portrait of Cambridge, England. Twelve photographs of people, architecture, and everyday life from my Portrait of Cambridge project.
I am grateful to BAM for giving me this opportunity. This was my first solo show, and I have a hundred takeaways from the experience. Curating a show is much harder than it first appears!
Images 2024

The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts spotlighted the work of fifty PA artists, including my photograph, “George Walking.”
Imagination, Transformation, Social Justice

Chair is a light-hearted project exploring the relationship between people and chairs—an object we often take for granted—and the shapes we make together. Chairs are for sitting, but can also be launchpads, transportation, obstacles, or even barriers. Look around at all the chairs in your life. What are they for?
Thank you to all those who lugged their chairs to my studio for this fun collaboration.
Leslie P. Greenhill Photography Scholarship

A scholarship in memory of Leslie Greenhill, senior professor of education at Penn State, by his daughter Gillian Greenhill Hannum (’81 M.A., ’86 Ph.D., art history), family and friends to recognize a third-year student enrolled in intermediate or advanced photography courses who has exhibited a serious involvement in and commitment to photography.
My photograph, “Young Hamlet,” was exhibited at the Zoller Gallery in an exhibition for scholarship winners, and used for the show’s promotional poster.
