CAMBRIDGE
Cambridge, England, has drawn visitors and scholars for generations. Most are captivated by its stunning architecture and vibrant intellectual life. Few, however, find their way off the beaten path into the lives of ordinary people living within this extraordinary setting. Cambridge: Portrait of a Place explores Cambridge, not as a museum or postcard but as a living entity.
I love Cambridge for a myriad of reasons. Decades ago, I studied here, at Homerton College. I met a fellow student and we married; we now live in the United States. I’m from England, and I miss the culture. To be back in this place, even for so short a time, was wonderful. Many thanks to Churchill College, who made us so welcome, and to my husband who knew I wanted to live here one more time and made it happen.
